The Akamai API Security APP for ServiceNow CMDB enables you to ingest in-depth details and configuration of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) - all of which are automatically discovered and analyzed by AKamai API Security Platform.
It Enables users to manage your APIs in ServiceNow. The App will create and update API configuration Items(CIs) in ServiceNow CMDB enabling you to :
- Analyze APIs and security riscs
- Understand API context
- monitor Compliance and regularity complaince and internal policies.
The Akamai API Security integration for ServiceNow’s configuration management database (CMDB) enables you to manage your APIs in ServiceNow. The CMDB integration uses APIs in API Security to create and update API Configuration Items (CIs) in the CMDB.
If you want to use ServiceNow’s Application Vulnerability Response (AVR) module to track and manage API vulnerabilities discovered by API Security in ServiceNow, you must use the CMDB integration together with Akamai’s AVR integration, since the AVR integration links AVR application vulnerability items (AVIs) to CIs (specifically, API Components).
