Standalone Application
The CMDB CI Class Models app is the single source for all new base-system CMDB CI class models defined by ServiceNow.
The app provides customers and ISV partners with classes for the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns apps.
Use the app to obtain and make use of newer class models at a faster pace than with regular family releases.
- Provides base-system CMDB class models for new resources
- Adds new classes and their descriptions to the CMDB class hierarchy
- Creates identification rules and dependent relationships for new classes
New
- Kong Data Plane Node Data Model update to Class Model: Updated the Kong Data Plane Node data model (sn_kong_data_plane_node) to extend the new common CMDB CI Class Models, replacing the previous custom project-specific class model.
- Changes to the cmdb_ot_editor role on cmdb_key_value_v2: Added ACL updates in the app-cmdb-content repository allowing the cmdb_ot_editor role to perform full CRUD operations on cmdb_key_value_v2.
- Identification rule for cmdb_key_value to support Kong Konnect Data Plane Node labels: Added a missing Identification rule for the cmdb_key_value class. Previously, labels sent by the Kong Konnect Data Plane Node connector were rejected by IRE so related label records were never created (though the parent CI was). This fix allows label key-value pairs to reconcile correctly as related CI records.
Modified
- Model categories for Retail CI classes: Fixed missing parent category and incorrect Product Model/Asset Class associations for two new CI classes (cmdb_ci_industrial_refrigeration, cmdb_ci_handheld_barcode_scanner) Both now roll up under the "Retail" parent category and use sn_ent_retail_model / sn_ent_retail_asset instead of the generic base entities.
- DMN - Missing table/context definitions: Added missing Discovery/DMN table and context definitions for Application Servers, Web Servers, Messaging Queues, Directory Services, Email/Collaboration Applications, SAP Applications, and Monitoring & Management.
- 'Clear HPE Blade Serial Numbers' scheduled script failure fix: The scheduled script was configured to run as a user requiring the pd_admin role (from the Pattern Designer package), causing execution failures on instances where Pattern Designer isn't installed. Updated the Run As configuration so the script no longer depends on that role.
- List view and form view enhancements for new CMDB CI tables: Added and refined list views and form layout sections for the newly introduced cmdb_ci_api_gateway_component and cmdb_ci_kong_data_plane_node tables to align with their new dictionary/class model.
- CI relationships in form layout for Kafka Topic and Kafka Cluster: Previously, opening a record on cmdb_ci_kafka_cluster or cmdb_ci_appl_kafka_topic showed no CI relationships. Added the CI Relations related list to the form layout for both tables.
